Drop Factory designs the merch. Printify is the print-on-demand engine that produces and ships each order. Your storefront (Shopify, Wix, Etsy, or a free pop-up) is where customers actually buy. You connect them once below — after that, hitting PUBLISH in the app pushes a real, buyable product to your store.
Sign up free at printify.com. Inside Printify, add a store under My Stores → Add new store. Have a Shopify, Wix, Etsy, or eBay storefront? Connect it here. Don't have one yet? Pick Printify's free Pop-Up Store — you can launch without your own site.
In Printify, open My Profile → Connections → API, then Generate a personal access token. Give it a name (e.g. "Drop Factory"), and copy it immediately — Printify only shows the full token once.
In the app's top bar, click 🔌 CONNECT, drop your token into the Printify field, and hit TEST & CONNECT. If your account has more than one shop, pick the one you want to publish to.
Design something, open the PUBLISH tab, pick a product, and push it live. Drop Factory creates the product in your Printify shop and lists it on your connected storefront — priced, sized, and ready to sell.
You're covered — no separate integration needed. Connect that storefront inside Printify (Step 1), and Drop Factory publishes to Printify while Printify syncs the product to your store automatically. One token, every channel.
Start with Printify's free Pop-Up Store — a ready-made shop with zero setup and no monthly fee. You can move to your own Shopify or Wix site later without redoing anything in Drop Factory.
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps → Create an app. Name it "Drop Factory." Under API scopes, grant product read/write access, then install the app.
On the app's API credentials tab, reveal and copy the Admin API access token (starts with shpat_). Like Printify, it's shown once — grab it now.
Open 🔌 CONNECT, enter your store domain (yourstore.myshopify.com) and the Admin API token in the Shopify card, then TEST & CONNECT. Now publishing pushes products straight to Shopify.
"Invalid token" — you probably copied a partial token, or it was regenerated. Generate a fresh one and paste the whole string. "No shop found" — make sure you've added at least one store in Printify (or a pop-up store) before connecting. Still stuck? Email rich@dropfactory.io and we'll wire it up with you.
